Aussie cities ranked top 20 on global Sustainability Cities Index
The “Sustainable Cities Index” by ARCADIS examines 50 cities from 31 countries across a range of sustainability indicators and results show that European cities performed better overall than other continents, taking seven out of the top 10 rankings, while Australia’s Sydney and Melbourne both finished in the top 20.
The 50 cities are ranked in each of the three sub-indices, “People”, “Planet” and “Profit”, and a breakdown shows in which respects cities are doing well, and in which they need improving on.
Frankfurt, London, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Berlin, Seoul, Hong Kong, Madrid and Singapore made up the top 10 while Sydney narrowly missed out, coming in at number 11 on the overall Sustainability Cities Index"

For the first time, Art & Design faculties have been ranked globally by the QS World University Rankings.
UNSW Art & Design now ranks 25th in the world, placing us in the top echelon of art and design schools. 894 universities are ranked by QS across 60 different countries.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject assess universities across three broad areas of interest to prospective students: academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
Rankings drew on responses from 85,062 academics and 41,910 graduate employers, alongside the analysis of 17.3 million research papers and over 100 million citations (Scopus/Elsevier bibliometric database).
UNSW Art & Design’s position is recognition of our extraordinary community of dedicated researchers, educators, practising designers, artists, media creators, and our extensive network of industry and cultural partners.
